Going Batty!: a craft for dolls

One thing most people(and dolls) don't know about me is that I really like to make crafts. I made a little bat craft for Halloween that I thought I would share with my readers. The supplies you need are pretty basic:
1. scrap paper
2. black marker
3. black foam sheet
4. 2 white foam circles
5. scissors
6. mini clothespin(they sell these as wooden paperclips in the office supply aisle)
7. glue

First thing you are going to need to do is make a pattern for your bat.(you made need to find an image online of a bat for help, I used some bat shaped confetti as a basis for my pattern) Make the wings and body separate.

You are then going to need to cut out your bat pattern.

Next, you are going to use your pattern to cut out the bat shapes from the black foam. Again be sure to have the body and wings separate. Lay these aside.

Get out your mini clothespin and color it black with your marker. Be sure to make sure the marker isn't bleeding off of the wood and getting on other things.

Now you are going to need to glue the bat body on top of the wings. Attach that to your clothespin. Determine which way you want your bat to be when you use your clip.

This bat looks kind of odd and unfinished though doesn't he? You are going to take your white circles and make a little spot on them with your marker. Glue them onto your little bat's face.

Now you can use it to put in your mutant dog's hair, like this:

The clip can also be use for many other decorating purposes. I hope you enjoyed making the craft.
(I apologize for the poor lighting in my house.)

There is a moral to every story

Well, I was having a pretty nice day today just hanging out with my dog Yoshi outside when Kit came up.(oh yeah fair warning, this is a photo story, a short one though) She told me she had something interesting to show me and I wasn't too worried because usually Kit found harmless things like rocks or a leaf interesting so I humored her and went to see what it was.

Guess what is was. Yeah, your eyes aren't fooling you that is a pig with a capitol P. I don't know why Kit thought getting a pig as a pet was a good idea but she did.(and what is with the red checkered bandana?)
Anyway somehow Kit talked me into getting into the pen with her and at first it wasn't very bad; the pig just kind of stood there and sniffed me, but with Kit things usually go wrong.
Yoshi got in his little dachshund head to come bark at this strange new animal and that is when the pig went wild, running back and forth all around me.
I tried to step around and get out of the pen when the pig tripped me and I ruined one of my favorite dresses.

Now MGL insists that all stories have morals and I devised three that could possibly fit this scenario:
1. Don't wear a fancy dress into a pig pen.
2. Don't let a dachshund near a pig pen.
3. Never trust a doll named Kit.
I am going with moral number three for this story, I will never go and see what Kit finds interesting. I don't mind Kit keeping this little project of hers as long as I don't have to feed it, I want no where near that dress ruining device.

Lots and Lots of Water

Do you know what this is a picture of? Yeah that's right super genius, it's rain.(OK, I admit it really is an odd picture but it was the best I could do under the even odder circumstances) I was going outside for a little bit of fresh air when I saw this. I almost forgot what this stuff was since it hasn't rained in so long, but I don't think MGL forgot as she and the other humans were going crazy about it. Whatever, I just ran back inside because that is one thing the people over at American Girl drill in our heads before we get stuffed in those little cardboard boxes. "Don't get wet." "Stay away from water." "Under no circumstances do you take a cold shower, or any temperature shower for that matter." Some crazy dolls don't follow that rule, but I do. Actually it is the only rule I follow because I mean seriously what doll has time to read the rule book. I am breaking a rule right now actually by typing this as they make us sign little waivers to say we won't share our lives on the Internet. Like any doll could follow that rule, really. Well I just hope it doesn't rain anymore so I can go outside and get away from Kit.
(Oh would you look at that? I made it through a whole post without posting a picture of myself, maybe I'm not that conceited after all.)

T' shoot or not t' shoot: tis th' question.

That's starboard its talk like a pirate day. With me bein' t' weird doll that I be I kind o' like pirates. I got MGL t' make me a pirate costume, but she kind o' threw it together at t' last minute.(Thanks a lot MGL) IAhoy!pose it isn't too crappy but I expect next year's t' better.(hint, hint)Well any way for some reason I got this idea that some o' you might like t' see this costume I speak o' so I'll show it t' you. When I think about it I be kind o' comin' across as conceited postin' all these pictures o' meself, but oh well I kind o' am, plus some o' you readers may have forgotten what I looked like.(hey you never know) I should be aft t' speakin'(or typin' anyway) normally tomorrow, though one can never know about me, I kind o' like this pirate chat.

The pirate speaks,"I'm shovin' off for now, but I shall be aft soon."

Hi!

Hey everyone reading this!(probably a grand total of two) I decided to share a little of my life with the world and start this blog. I am an AG doll, most people know me as MyAG #25 but I ususally refer to myself as Leanne Rae Smith. Most people(and dolls) call me Leanne though, either one works. I live with Kit Kittredge(another AG doll) and the mysterious giant lady that takes pictures of us and posts them online. Life is pretty good here where I live except for sometimes Kit can really get on your nerves, and I do mean really when I say it. The mysterious giant lady(MGL for short) claims that in another dimension Kit and I go to a school for time travellers. I don't believe a word of it though, but if it is true then I sure wish I lived in that dimension and not this one where the most exciting thing I get to do in a day is sit on a shelf and ocassionaly have the pleasure of some giant human taking me down and letting me go places. I'm pretty sure if I tried to get down by myself I'd snap my little dolly head off and I don't think I could stand the sensation of having someone doing neck string surgery on me. Well I guess thats about it for now, I don't wish to bore you with all the details of my life, though before I go I guess I can share a little picture of myself in case anyone doesn't know exactly what a MyAG #25 looks like though if you are reading this I'm pretty sure you know. So without further ado, myself(yes I do employ weird camera angles in an effort to make myself appear better) -
Goodbye for now, I'll be back later. Trust  me I will.
